What you see above is a hydraulically operated power twister. It's an exercise equipment that strengthens your forearms, shoulders, broadens your chest, and builds your back muscles. The prices for these vary widely. There's no way to tell which is genuine and which is fake. They look identical in pictures, differing only in the color of the handle and the "power" lettering on the body.
One might wonder if a cheap product would be of poor quality. I bought one from AliExpress a year ago for 20,000 won. At the time, the purchase price was much cheaper than what domestic shopping malls offered. Now, you can buy it on Coupang for 23,000-24,000 won. At our Hemorium, we sell it for 26,000 won. Below is the hydraulic power twister I bought around this time last year.
After buying and using it, I found no problems at all. I, too, have some trauma related to Chinese products. It's the trauma caused by IT products I bought about 20 years ago. It was an experience from the past where I strongly felt I had wasted money and been scammed.
Back then, I'd fumble through Chinese, barely manage to pay amidst the impenetrable language, and then wait a long, long time to receive the products. When there was a defect, I couldn't make a call because I couldn't speak the language, nor could I write an email. I remember being afraid to use the slow tablet PC because it would get dangerously hot. It would also frequently crash without reason.
Anyway, despite some painful past experiences, the power twister I bought from AliExpress last year and the drawing tablet I bought a few years ago have had no problems so far.
I've been using this hydraulic power twister for over a year, and there's no sign of the hydraulic pressure leaking. If the pressure were to leak, it would be the end of it. So far, its initial performance is still maintained. Sometimes, I even use it up to 1500 times a day. When I bought the power twister, I suspected that it might be a disposable item because of its incredibly low price, but I no longer have such doubts.
Although we've only been using Cuckoo, a leading Korean electric rice cooker brand, for two years, its warming function is already unstable. For some reason, we can't seem to use electric rice cookers for long.
What I've realized from buying and using several Chinese products in the past few years is that China seems to have made remarkable progress in product manufacturing technology over the last two decades. It seems they are properly managing quality control according to international standards. The reason we decided to drop ship Chinese products is precisely because we believe quality control in product manufacturing is well-executed. Therefore, we feel confident that we can sell products globally without receiving complaints from buyers. Product sellers who receive too many complaints from buyers accumulate a lot of stress and don't live long.
