Automobile Windshield Repair Adhesive – UV-Curing Resin

This UV-curing adhesive is intended for suitable localized windshield damage. Its application method uses resin covered with curing film, followed by exposure to direct sunlight or a suitable UV lamp. It is a glass-repair treatment, not a routine windshield cleaner or an adhesive for installing a replacement windshield.

Localized Glass Care

The resin is intended to help improve the appearance of suitable damaged areas. Results depend on the type, depth and condition of the damage. A less visible crack does not establish that the windshield has regained its original strength or is safe to return to service.

Assess Suitability Before Application

Have an automotive-glass professional assess spreading cracks, damage near the windshield edge, damage affecting the driver's view, or suspected damage through multiple layers. Follow the product and vehicle guidance rather than assuming that any crack can be treated with resin.

How to Use

1. Read the instructions and prepare the area.
Confirm that the damage is suitable for this product. Prepare the surrounding glass according to the label, avoiding pressure or cleaning methods that could extend the crack or force contamination into it.

2. Apply resin and curing film.
The original directions describe placing a drop of resin at the crack and covering it with curing film. Follow the packaging for the amount and placement appropriate to the approved treatment area.

3. Remove trapped bubbles carefully.
Smooth the film gently using the method specified in the product instructions. The original directions refer to a blade; handle sharp tools with care and do not force a blade into the crack or press hard on damaged glass.

4. Cure with the specified UV source.
The original directions state 10–30 minutes in direct sunlight, or the use of a UV lamp until the resin has cured. Treat this as supplier guidance rather than a guaranteed curing time, and follow the label for the required conditions and compatible UV equipment. It is the resin, not the vehicle, that must cure.

5. Remove the film and excess resin.
Once fully cured according to the instructions, remove the curing film. Remove excess surface resin only by a method permitted by the product instructions and the glass manufacturer's care guidance. Avoid scratching glass coatings.

6. Inspect before returning to service.
Check for remaining damage and impaired visibility. Seek professional repair or replacement advice if the crack spreads, remains problematic or affects safe visibility.
