Thread Locking Sealant – 50ml

Help secure compatible threaded connections with this 50ml thread-locking sealant. Applied to clean threads before assembly, it is designed to help resist loosening associated with vibration and movement in suitable mechanical applications.

Targeted Fastener Retention

The sealant is intended to support threaded-connection stability. It is not a replacement for correctly specified fasteners, sound threads or the equipment manufacturer's assembly procedure. Choose the product only where its grade and application are approved for the connection.

Match the Product to the Job

Check the packaging and technical instructions for compatible materials, thread sizes, locking strength, service temperature and future removal requirements. Do not assume suitability for extreme temperatures or heavy shock simply from general performance claims. Use on safety-critical assemblies only when expressly specified by the equipment manufacturer.

How to Use

1. Check the assembly instructions.
Confirm that thread-locking adhesive is required and that this product is the correct grade. Follow the equipment manufacturer's torque instructions for an adhesive-treated connection rather than selecting an arbitrary tightening torque.

2. Clean the threads.
Remove oil, dirt and other impurities from the mating thread surfaces using a compatible preparation method. Follow the product label for drying and any additional surface preparation.

3. Apply evenly.
Apply the sealant to the intended thread contact area according to the packaging directions. Avoid excess and prevent it from entering adjacent passages, bearings or other areas where adhesive is not intended.

4. Assemble and tighten.
Fit the mating parts and tighten to the equipment manufacturer's specified torque using suitable tools. Do not use adhesive to compensate for stripped, corroded or otherwise damaged threads.

5. Allow to cure.
The original directions specify curing at room temperature. Follow the label for the applicable temperature range, handling time and full-cure time before loading or operating the assembly. Do not assume that a connection is fully cured because its exposed surface appears dry.

6. Check before service.
Inspect the completed assembly according to the equipment manufacturer's procedure. Follow the product's removal instructions if later disassembly is needed; do not improvise heating or force on an unsuitable component.
