Car Maintenance Lubricant Gel, Car Care Product for Car Care

Car Maintenance Lubricant Gel

Care for approved moving components with this automotive lubricant gel, formulated with paraffin, silicone oil and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Its squeeze-on format allows targeted application at compatible lubrication points as part of routine vehicle maintenance.

Targeted Lubrication

The gel is intended to help reduce friction and associated wear between suitable moving surfaces. Apply only where the vehicle or component manufacturer permits this type of lubricant. It is not a repair for worn, damaged or misaligned mechanisms.

For Compatible Hinges & Sliding Mechanisms

The original description identifies door hinges, seat-armrest mechanisms, slide rails and sunroof components as possible applications. Each mechanism may require a specific lubricant, so check the vehicle service guidance before use, especially for sunroof tracks, seals and powered assemblies.

How to Use

1. Identify the approved lubrication point.
Read the product label and the vehicle manufacturer's maintenance instructions. Confirm both the lubricant type and application location. Do not assume that every rail, joint or rubber seal should be lubricated.

2. Prepare the mechanism safely.
Park securely, switch off the vehicle and prevent accidental operation of powered components according to the service instructions. Keep fingers clear of hinges, tracks and other pinch points.

3. Prepare the contact surface.
As a general maintenance step, remove loose debris from the accessible area using the component manufacturer's recommended method. Do not mix the gel with existing lubricants unless compatibility is established.

4. Apply the gel.
Squeeze the product onto the approved lubrication point as directed in the original description. Follow the label and component guidance for the quantity, avoiding excess and nearby upholstery, electrical connections or drainage channels.

5. Distribute with a suitable brush.
Use a brush to work the gel over the intended contact area according to the product directions. Keep the application confined to the approved surfaces and remove unwanted residue using a compatible method.

6. Check operation.
Remove tools and keep hands clear before checking movement as permitted by the vehicle service procedure. Stop if the mechanism binds, makes unusual noise or operates abnormally. Follow the manufacturer's maintenance schedule rather than applying at an assumed interval.

General Safety & Care Guidance

Follow all label warnings and use suitable protective equipment as directed. Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged skin contact. Keep lubricant off brakes, tire tread, drive belts, pedals, steering-wheel grips and surfaces that need traction. Do not use it as a substitute for an approved lubricant on safety-critical components. Keep out of reach of children and pets and store according to the packaging instructions. Lubrication does not guarantee rust prevention or extend the service life of the entire vehicle.
